Secrets of the New Ford Fusion Race Car

How does a Ford race car go from concept to competition? In the case of the Fusion, it’s very similar to how the production Fusion transforms from computer data to your garage – except that takes around four years, whereas getting the Fusion race-ready for the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series requires chopping that time in half.

For the first time in decades, Ford utilized its Design Center to build the stock car. Not a bad plan, since having the Design Center and Ford Racing working hand-in-hand resulted in Ford debuting its new model at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in January – before any other manufacturer!

2013 Ford F-150: A Rugged Truck for Rugged Jobs

When Ford unveils something new, there tends to be an interesting story behind it. In this case, it’s a new package for the new F-150, called Special Service Vehicle. The SSV Package allows the 2013 F-150 to become even more adaptable to unique tasks.

If you’re not familiar with the SSV name, it’s a unique Ford package aimed at government, municipal and commercial fleets – law enforcement, fire-fighting and state park patrols, to name but a few.

First Look at the 2013 Ford F-150

What’s the first thing you notice that’s different about the 2013 Ford F-150 based on this photo of the XLT model? Sure thing, the new front-end styling makes an impression, as the 2013 F-150 lineup has bold new grilles and fresh designs! It sure has come a long way since the first Ford F-Series pickup – the F-1 – in 1948!

The F-150 also gains new 18- and 20-inch wheels by way of various trim packages. And new colors await you: Blue Jeans Metallic, Kodiak Brown Metallic and Ruby Red Clearcoat Metallic.

The C-MAX is the first Ford dedicated line of hybrids. The 2013 C-MAX Hybrid will be available in the fall of 2012 with a base price of $25,995 – approximately $500 lower than the Toyota Prius v base price.
